Please support the DO-G by joining or by making a donation.

We heartily invite you to become a member of the German Ornithologists‘ Society.
Membership fees and donations, transferred to the society’s bank account (see below), can be set off against tax in Germany.

The current annual membership fees are:

70,- € - Ordinary membership for individuals

100,- € - Ordinary membership for institutions

35,- € - Concessional membership: for students, schoolchildren and trainees/apprentices

20,- € - Family concessional membership: immediate family of ordinary members - no receipt of periodicals)

Ordinary and concessional membership (non-family) fees include the receipt of DO-G periodicals.

If you are applying for concessional membership, please remember to provide the necessary certificates every year. Please send your certificate for the coming year before the end of this year.

Membership is renewed automatically for a further year on 31 October unless previously cancelled.

Residence outside Germany: Please remit your fee by bank transfer or pay by credit card.

In case you pay by credit card, please use the form enclosed to our annual circular letter (or click here) and transmit card no., expiry date and CVC no., together with your signature. We ask for your understanding that we have to add
4 € to your member fee for charges.


Please pay until March 1 of the respective year. The charge for a second reminder amounts to 5 €.
