Horst Wiehe Foundation Award

The Horst Wiehe Foundation Award was established in 1993 through a generous donation from Horst Wiehe. It recognizes outstanding scientific work that focuses primarily on ecological issues in ornithology. The prize currently amounts to €1,600 and is awarded approximately every two years, provided that the income from the foundation’s endowment allows for it. Membership in the DOG is not a requirement. The prize may also be shared if there are multiple authors.
